The idea that our memories of childhood or even recent events are as they seem or are they post memory -an interpretation based on our own experience of events mixed in with other influences such as recounted memories from others, photographs or similar incidents……
I am working on a project with the group ‘memento collective’ rooted in the theories of Freud. Death Dreams Desire.
Drawing on vivid recollections from my early childhood- very personal moments in time that made such an impact on my childs mind that I still relive them in flashes of déjà vu and in my dreams. Playing out scenarios which may or may not be in my control.
These images are in the early stages of reinterpreting events in visual form.
