Horizon A fascination and my inspiration in photography and painting for many years.
How far away is the horizon line?
According to Wikipedia:
” distance to the true horizon from an observer close to the Earth’s surface is about[2]
where h is height above sea level and R is the Earth radius.”
There is the fascination for me- to stand high on a cliff or tall building enables a farther view of something that is not physically there at all.
