Lazing on a sunny afternoon……welcome June
June brings another rush of Birthdays in the family and of course Father’s Day – normally a time of family gatherings and celebrations for the extended family.
My eldest grand daughter will be eleven in a few days time, where have those years gone, so grown up, so adorable. My Son will be forty three- not possible surely? My Father approaches his ninety eighth birthday, he must think the same. So many Birthdays, Christmas celebrations, New Years. That’s time for you, never stops regardless of what is happening in our lives.
Time for me has surprisingly been going at a steady pace as usual. Mostly spent in my garden except for adventures to the shops for essential supplies. I have been able to work from home via my lap top and a few art materials and of course my camera. Continuing to work although well past retirement age I count my blessings as I sit and contemplate on this sunny afternoon… and, just for a moment, I will push aside all that is unjust and cruel in the world and welcome June again……
