From here it’s just a short distance to Hatfield House where there is a fantastic Art Trail in the grounds and numerous retail shops, the Palace Green Gallery and cafe.
Come along and see the new sculpture exhibition in the West Garden. Here, There and Somewhere In Between, is an exhibition in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts which sees works by 6 Academicians being displayed in the West Garden. It features the work of Bill Woodrow RA along with Ann Christopher RA, Michael Craig-Martin RA, Richard Deacon RA, Gary Hume RA and Alison Wilding RA.

Running for two weeks each year, the Annual Open Exhibition is a highlight of Hertford’s artistic life and attracts hundreds of visitors. Over 300 artworks are exhibited having been selected by a panel of judges from the work submitted. The 2012 Exhibition featured paintings, collage, digital images, prints, sculpture and fused glass and visitors praised the high quality and great variety of exhibits.
