Muse of the day 10.6.2023

Who do you spend the most time with? Probably, I have to admit, it is my Burmese Ragdoll Cross- feline companion Rex. He is affectionate- when he feels like it, demanding at times and aloof . But his one redeeming attribute- he never contradicts anything I say, in fact he is quite indifferent to any …

SHADOW

#OWS #ONEWORDSUNDAY MAY 28 #SHADOW Lizard PointLizard Point is the most southerly point on mainland Great Britain at 49° 57' 30" N. With the exception of parts of the Isles of Scilly, it is the southernmost part of England and the wider United Kingdom. Searching for images of shadow I realised that some images were actually …

When life is going well……..

Feeling in a positive state of mind, things going well in life generally, lots to look forward to. In the back of my mind am I hearing a very quiet alarm bell- maybe just a vibration of an alarm. Or is this just a fail safe mechanism to prepare for the unexpected inevitable disaster...... I …

Sitting in the garden on Saturday

Six Word Saturday What a joy yesterday sitting in the garden in the sunshine. Except that like most of us, I suspect, sitting was interspersed with jumping up with secateurs in hand and snipping off dead ends of shrubs. As my garden is presently a container garden, I'm also continually moving the pots around as …

No really – Am I being Unreasonable?

#Six Word Saturday Don't ask!! A week of unacceptable changes at the last minute from 'others' which has left me questioning.......that's all I am saying 🙂 Nothing to do with #6WS but I am so excited to see my blue poppy has returned this year, and it promises flowers too! I'll hopefully post again when …

Busy – One Word Sunday Challenge

A Busy Day in 1953 I don't really remember this day ( I was two years old) but I have a certificate that proves I was there!

A celebration of a different kind…..

6WS A fabulous family get together celebrating the marriage of Tony's Grandson Lewis and his lovely wife Leyla.

Don’t be hasty- there is new life emerging.

So many plants and shrubs appear not to have survived our hard winter. I’ve been keeping a close eye in my little back yard and carefully trimming the dead leaves and brittle twigs- but to my joy some new growth is appearing in many of the planters. #SilentSunday CLERODENDRUM
