August – welcome…..and Birthday Celebrations

As the family grows so do the birthday celebrations.

Becoming more frequent especially throughout the summer months. An expensive time but so wonderful to gather the family together.

August brings first my Dad’s Birthday – he will be ninety eight this year, and my Daughter’s birthday follows near the end of the month.

With restrictions still in place we will have a low key celebration for Dad with the immediate family in the garden. In past years we have arranged a break away in Suffolk and a lobster lunch for Dad. We hopefully can still source a lobster for him and a cake.

To welcome August I thought I would post a few past birthday pics to celebrate my Dad’s special day.

I’m just adding this photo – one of my favourite’s of Mum Dad and a much younger me, I think when we are younger we see our parents as so old- but now I look back and remember when my parents were actually quite young, we all look so happy. I think this was in Italy on a camping holiday with another family. Not sure who took the photo.
